There are several types of sterilisation bags that differ depending on the material and the closing method. It is recommended to select the packaging based on the decontamination method to be used. If you have opted for sterilisation with steam or gas, it’s preferable to use those in which one side is plastic and the other paper to allow the passage of the cleaning agent. If you have selected decontamination dry heat, those made from durable plastic will be more suitable.
Regarding the closure system, you have the choice of self-adhesive bags and heat-sealed bags. The latter are better for long-term preservation. However, the storage time in sterilisation bags must not exceed 3 months and it is advisable to control the level of sterilisation.
