Cleanroom
A cleanroom is a controlled environment where airborne particles have been eliminated. This type of room is often used in the manufacturing process of various products across different industries such as pharmaceuticals, IT, cosmetics, and more.
For over 30 years, Conformat has been working with industry professionals to provide them with the best conditions to develop their businesses. By supplying cleanrooms, we contribute to their success.
What is a cleanroom?
Cleanrooms are designed to prevent contamination of products and processes. Our goal is to provide manufacturers and industries with rooms where the concentration of airborne particles or germs is minimal.
To help us achieve better results, laws and standards exist, including the NF EN ISO 14644 standard, which specifies different levels of particle concentration. This standard includes several levels (ISO 1, ISO 2, ISO 3, etc.), with ISO 9 representing the highest level of airborne particle concentration. To determine the level of particles and contamination, we use a particle counter. This allows us to precisely know whether a room is clean according to legal standards.
Another key aspect of a cleanroom is the equipment. Cleanrooms require employees to use specific protective gear. Furniture, tools, work uniforms, and even the flooring are all designed to minimize the spread of germs and contamination of manufactured products.
What is a cleanroom used for?
As you might have gathered, Conformat works daily to provide industries with optimal cleanrooms for manufacturing or product processing, but that's not all. Research laboratories, for example, also rely on us to provide cleanrooms where researchers can conduct tests without their solutions or research subjects being affected by external factors like ambient temperature, air humidity, certain bacteria, or excessive CO2 levels.
In the most specialized fields that require precise manufacturing conditions, such as the food, aerospace, and medical industries, cleanrooms play a crucial role. They allow products to be handled without exposure to any disruptions.
Many professional sectors are required to have a cleanroom. This is the case for the cosmetics, automotive, optical, solar, food technology, and aerospace industries.
The chemical and pharmaceutical industries also require cleanrooms for manufacturing, processing, or packaging their products. Medicine heavily depends on them for sterilized accessories and equipment.
Conformat supports these professionals to help them achieve better productivity. By offering high-quality supplies such as brooms, maintenance accessories, disposable clothing, sterilized protective equipment, sticky mats, and sterile gloves, we contribute to making their professional environment healthier.
